Check out Liquid Video’s latest project with Community Housing Partners! Completed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, LVT worked with CHP to provide security in their newest community.

LVT-installed security camera on the side of a Community Housing Partners building. Established in 1975, the Community Housing Partners nonprofit has invested over $877 million in creating homes and communities rooted in sustainability, health, and housing stability for its residents. As a member of the Federation of Appalachian Housing Enterprises, Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future, and the Housing Partnership Network, Community Housing Partners employs over 350 individuals who provide a myriad of services to residents and clients. From real estate development and construction to property management and homeownership, CHP offers comprehensive benefits while also striving for continual improvement. With a three year plan to increase long-term housing support for clients, improve energy efficiency and airflow of buildings, and invest in the longevity of its business, Community Housing Partners continues to raise its standards of service and community support.

Liquid Video and Community Housing Partners began their 12 year partnership with an affordable housing project in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Community Housing brought in LVT to install surveillance equipment throughout the property, allowing for increased security and local monitoring for staff and residence. After the success of the first project, CHP and LVT have continued their work together on several similar projects throughout the Southeast.

LVT installed electronic door handles to ensure access control for Community Housing Partners. In their most recent work together, LVT installed security systems for CHP’s property on Trinity Court in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This project involved the installation of cameras throughout the property that can be monitored on the property as well as remotely. For increased security, LVT also installed the proper facilities for access control to common spaces and offices in the community center. Even the entry to the community can be monitored with the installation of license plate recognition technology at the entrance to the property.

Today’s security technology is reliant on stable ISP service as well as local infrastructure to support all the components of the system.  Segmenting security related products to an isolated VLAN as well as assuring all wiring is installed and tested to industry standards creates a consistent and reliable environment.  NDAA compliant systems, proprietary wireless connections as well as fiber connectivity between structures are critical keys in Liquid Video Technologies final delivery.

The partnership between Liquid Video Technologies and Community Housing Partners reflects CHP’s commitment to creating safe, comfortable environments for its residents. Their service doesn’t stop with building the community–it continues beyond, ensuring the welfare and protection of its residents for the entire time they live there. LVT shares this goal for all its clients, and we are honored to contribute to the mission CHP has set out to accomplish. Here’s to the next project!
